Circle Lens Review - EOS G-206 Grey

Here is my review for EOS G-206 Grey circle lenses, sponsored by MukuChu. These are 14.2mm lenses in a natural style, so if you are looking for a nice everyday grey lens these might be fore you :)

This is the official photo from the EOS site:
Here are the lenses in their bottles:
And here they are being worn in different light:

As you can probably tell, these are relatively dark and one-dimension. They are, however, a nice choice if you just want a bit of shimmer in your eyes.

Since these are 14.2mm, I did not expect much enlargement. I would have to say, though, that they look more like 14.0mm when worn. Here are some comparison pics with one lens out:

Natural light
Indoor light
Flash

There is minimal enlargement for these lenses, and the limbal ring is thin. In fact, they are barely bigger than my Solotica Hidrocor Grey!

Indoor light
Flash

Sad sidenote: I found out that the other Solotica lens dried out when I took them out for these photos, so the pair is in the trash now. My Beaucon Jewel Pink dried up too, but I don't like them that much anyway.

Here are some comparison pics with my Neo Cosmos Glamour Blue; I am thinking of getting the greys from the same series since I really like the light color.

Natural light
Indoor light
Flash
As you can see, the G-206 Grey enlarges even less than the Glamour Blues, and looks quite dull in comparison. I think my sponsor might have sent me the wrong lenses, since I asked for the G1, which looks more like the Glamour Greys. :\

Here are all the lenses I wore in this review. The top middle is the G-206 grey right side up, and the bottom middle is the lens upside down.
In fact, I think the lenses actually look like the Migwang Aryan A21 Grey:
FINAL VERDICT:
Design: 6/10 - Dark and uninspiring, looks nothing like the ad pic
Enlargement: 5/10 - I think these are actually 14.0mm, so they are small
Comfort: 7/10 - For some reason they kind of irritate my eyes, but maybe it is just this particular pair's problem
TOTAL: 6/10 - I know I shouldn't be dissing these lenses so much since I got them for free, but they are really disappointing. :(

Thank you Mukuchu for the lenses!

Skincare and Makeup Meme

Sorry for no proper post this week, my family's visiting and I am real busy. So...have a meme! :p

SKINCARE

-How many times do you wash your face daily?
Twice, once in the morning and once when I shower, usually before bed. I also wash my face right before I put on makeup.

-What skin type do you have? (dry, oily, combo)
Combination, with dry patches or acne on my chin if I used the wrong products.

-What is your current facial wash?
It's a clear face wash in a green pump bottle by Biore. I love stuff with strong menthol/minty cooling effect.

-Do you exfoliate?
Yes, I do it every other day.

-What brand do you use?
St Ives apricot scrub. I also use the Strawberry Peeling Gel by Laneige every week or so, cus it is fun to use and smell real nice.

-What moisturizer do you use?
Neutrogena's Oil-free Moisture lotion for sensitive skin.

-Do you have freckles?
Not any that I notice. Asians don't get freckles as easily, and I avoid the sun like the plague.

-Do you use eye cream?
Nope. Don't see the need.

-Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
Yes, I have horrible skin with large pores, and tend to get acne quite often.

-Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?
No. Isn't that stuff really strong and creates a dependence?

MAKE-UP

-What foundation do you use?
For everyday use, I have a two-way cake by Lavuscha. For dramatic looks, I use Revlon Colorstay. I also have a scattering of mineral foundation samples that I use occasionally.

-How about concealer?
I have a 5-color concealer palette by Cinema Secrets, but I am still learning to use it properly.

-Do you know your undertone color?
Asian with pink undertone, which basically means that I am neutral-ish.

-What do you think of fake eyelashes?
LOVE THEM. I collect them, and use them extensively for my dramatic looks. However, for non-special events, I use mascara.

-Did you know that you are supposed to change your mascara every 3 months?
Yes, but it would be a big waste to do so since I only wear makeup on weekends, and not every one of them for that matter.

-What brand of mascara do you use?
Kiss Me Heroine Make Long and Curl, and a red one by Maybelline (Lash Stiletto I think).

-Sephora or MAC?
MAC, usually. I love SaSa and Bonjour in Hong Kong though!

-Do you have a MAC Pro-card?
Nah, don't wanna give myself an excuse to spend even more on makeup. :p

-What makeup tools do you use in make up application?
I have at least 20 brushes in my arsenal, more than half of which are eye brushes of some sort. I use one brush for each color, and have 3 blending brushes. I also have a pack of disposable sponge wedges, and a couple of powder puffs.

-Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?
Yes, I use Urban Decay Primer Potion.

-For the face?
I am using one from Revlon currently, but it was a free gift from buying foundation. I will try the Monostat chafe gel next, cus I heard it is comparable to the Smashbox base.

-What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?
Neutral earth tones for everyday look, any shade of purple or turquoise for fun. Metallic shades are awesome too.

-Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
Both. I usually use the pencil as base, then go over that with liquid for staying power.

-How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
Never. The trick is to hold the pencil parallel to your face instead of pointing at your eyeball, girls.

-What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
I love me some intensive colors, so yes to them.

-Do you use mineral makeup?
Yes, sometimes.

-What is your favorite lipstick?
MAC "Angel" is my go-to lipstick for Gyaru looks, but I usually wear "Blankety" if I feel like looking cool.

-How about lipgloss?
I have this pale pink and shimmery gloss from Majolica Majorca that I love to death, I might buy another one when it is used up.

-What is your favorite blush to use?
I am pale enough that I can use MAC's "Summer Rose" Beauty Powder as blush. It is a violet-y pink which looks very nice with my cooler skin tone.

-Do you buy your makeup on eBay?
Not that I can recall.

-Do you like drugstore makeup?
It's good for small stuff like black pencil eyeliner (which for some reason I use up like I eat them as snacks) and nail polish, but I think it is time I invest in a good high-end foundation.

-Do you go to CCO's? (cosmetic company outlets)
If I can find one, I will gladly shop in them. I guess SaSa and Bonjour are similar to CCO?

-Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?
I thought of it, but I think it will end in either me being pissed off at the teacher, or s/he being pissed at me for ignoring him/her. XD

-Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?
Clumsy? ME?

-Name a makeup crime that you hate?
The one that I hate the most is using a foundation with a wrong undertone. Sure, you can get away with using one that is a bit too light or too dark, but if you have yellow-based skin but you wear a pink-based foundation, it looks much worse. Other ones are chola eyebrows (looks like they are drawn on with black marker), really colorful eyeshadow that doesn't go with your "look" (eg wearing bright turquoise eyeshadow while dressed very plainly), and generally not matching your makeup to the occasion.

-Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick, eyeshadow) or neutral ones?
I stick to neutrals for "enhancement" makeup, ie makeup that make me look more awake, but I am crazy about color when doing creative stuff.

-Which celebrity always has great make up?
Dita definitely. She always look flawless.

-If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item, what would you use?
A sheer glossy lipstick (that can double as blush!)

-Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?
I do it ALL the time!

-Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?
I look a bit plain, but not scary.

-In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?
Chanel have really good products, even though I don't own a single one. Dior and Guerlain seems to be pretty good too.

-What do you think of makeup?
It's a wonderful toy to play with, and can make plain people look fantastic.

Circle Lens Review - EOS V205LB Hazel

Here is my review for EOS V205LB Hazel circle lenses, sponsored by MukuChu. These are similar in design to my G205 Violet from the same company that I have reviewed previously, but for some reason these freaked me out less, and the color is very unique. One of the reasons I chose these lenses is because they are in "Hazel", which I don't have yet. However, when I received them and tried them on, I didn't expect them to be ORANGE! :D

Natural light (next to sunlit window)
Direct Sunlight

These lenses are a bit more pixel-y than the G205, and the outer ring is dark brown instead of black, which goes very nicely with the orange color. The lizard-eye-ish design actually enhance the exotic appeal of this particular color, and I am interested in seeing if the brown lens from the same series is yellow-ish.

The V205LB are 14.2mm in size, so it has noticeable enlargement. Here are some comparison pics with one lens out:

Natural light
Indoor light

Since the EOS Max Pure Browns looks orange-ish in their case, I decided to take some comparison pics with the V205LB Hazel. The Max Pure Browns are larger, and when worn they are not orange at all.

Natural light
Indoor light
Flash

I also compared the V205LB with tow pairs of "costume" lenses that I have. First are my EOS Dollyeye Browns, which are golden in color. They seem to be bigger than the V205LB too, and the design are even less natural.

Next are my non-circle lens plano red lenses. I have forgotten what brands they are, but you can see more pics of them in my succubus look for a contest I entered. I wish they would come out with red prescription circle lenses...T^T

Finally, here are all the lenses I wore together. At the bottom is the V205LB Hazel upside down on the left, and right side up on the right.

FINAL VERDICT:
Design: 9/10 - They are ORANGE! I also like the dark brown outer ring.
Enlargement: 8/10 - 14.2mm are noticeable without being bug-eyed.
Comfort: 8/10 - Comfort level is same as other EOS lenses I own.
TOTAL: 8/10 - Potential Cullen vampire lenses? I dunno, cus I have never expanded my knowledge on that fandom beyond knowing that the vampires have golden-orange eyes. :p

Thank you MukuChu for the lenses!

Circle Lens Review - EOS Flower Brown

Here is my review for EOS Flower Brown, a relatively rare model of circle lenses (at least I have not seen them around much :p). They are sponsored by MukuChu, a blog shop based in Brisbane, Australia. Here is the design picture:

One of the reasons I decided to review these lenses is because of its interesting design, and I love collecting cool lenses. Seriously, doesn't it look awesome?

When I first got them, I was a bit concerned that they will look very jarring when worn, since the pattern is indeed as vibrant as in the design pic. However, when I put them on, the effect is very lovely, almost crystalline:

I really like how the little specks of light brown and white remains visible, while the "petal" pattern blends with my natural eye color. It gives a sparkly, almost anime-like look to my eyes while looking natural.

Being 14.0mm, these lenses obviously don't enlarge much. These are definitely lenses for those who like a more natural look, and they kind of remind me of the GEO Tear series, in the way they give sparkles to your eyes.

Here are some comparison shots with two pairs of brown lenses that I own. First up are the very natural, very lovely EOS Max Pure Brown. The Max Pure Browns are 14.5mm, so they are noticeably larger then the Flower Brown. In terms of color, they are both very near my own dark brown eyes. (I dunno why I am halo-ing hardcore with the Max Pures o_O)

Natural light

The next is my go-to lenses for uber-dollyness, Barbie King Size Brown. The King Size are also 14.5mm, and has a very strong pattern when compared to the Flower Brown.

Natural light

Here are all the lenses I wore in the review. The top middle lens is the Flower Brown upside down, and the bottom middle lens is the lens right side up. As I said before, the patterning is very strong and eye-catching. I just wish I have waited a bit, since the Flower series now have pink lenses! :p

FINAL VERDICT:
Design: 10/10 - Really cool and unique in the case, gives a great crystalline effect to the eyes when worn.
Enlargement: 5/10 - I am kind of spoiled by 14.5mm lenses now...
Comfort: 7/10 - For some reason I had a really hard time putting them on, but when they are in it is just as comfy as other EOS lenses.
TOTAL: 7/10 - These lenses would have a higher rating if they are not so difficult to put in, but maybe it is just my pair's problem.

Thank you MukuChu for the lenses!
