Circle Lens Review - EOS V-202 Grey

Here is my review for EOS V-202 Grey circle lenses, sponsored by MukuChu. These are 14.2mm lenses with very dense pigmentation and a small area of color in the middle, so they are pretty dark and intense.

The grey part of the lenses is very subtle and from a distance the lenses look almost black. This design is good for people who want dark lenses but doesn't want an all-black design.

Since the lenses are so dark, the enlargement is pretty obvious even though they are 14.2mm:

The design of the V-202 is very similar to the Pop.C Dark series, which I have a pair in blue. Here are some comparison of the two:

If you are looking for grey lenses with the same shimmery effect but lighter, the Neo Dali Extra Grey are a good choice:

Here are the lenses used in this review, clockwise from the top: V-202 right side up, Dali Extra Grey, V-202 upside down, Pop.C Dark Blue.

FINAL VERDICT:
Design: 6/10 - A bit dark for my taste
Enlargement: 8/10 - The thick black outer ring enlarges well
Comfort: 8/10 - Feels about the same as other EOS lenses, which are quite comfortable
TOTAL: 7/10 - Great for fans of dark lenses, but I feel that the color can be stronger.

Thank you MukuChu for the lenses!

Circle Lens Review - Magic Image (MI) E229 Wine Red

Here is my review for Magic Image (MI) E229 Wine Red circle lenses, sponsored by kiwiberry1's collection. I am seriously in love with these lenses, cus they are basically what I want my natural eye color to be! ♥

Magic Image is a relatively rare brand, and the E-series offer nine colors from the naturals (brown and grey) to the exotic (peach and red). The Wine Red is an especially unique color; it is a very blue-toned dark red, unlike most other red lenses out on the market. Here is the bottle for the lenses: And here are pics of me wearing the lenses. On my dark brown eyes, they show up as a rich burgundy, which is eye-catching without being freaky.

I think this is the only pair of lenses I own that seems to show up DARKER with flash. The pattern on the lenses is quite see-through, so I imagine these would look very interesting on lighter-colored eyes.

Magic Image noted that these lenses are 14.0mm, but they seems to be slightly enlarging, more like 14.2mm lenses.

Since these are red, comparing them with my i.Fairy Ruby Red lenses are of course necessary :D

The Ruby Reds are obviously larger and brighter than the Wine Reds, therefore they are more for costumes while the Wine Reds can be worn for more casual looks.

I also think the pattern of the Wine Reds look similar to the Geo Nudy lenses. Unfortunately I only have the mega-huge Super Nudy Browns, with the really dark outer ring. :p

Hmm actually, now that I look at it again it is not that similar. Ah well.

Here are all the lenses featured in this review. Clockwise from the top are the Wine Red right side up, the Super Nudy Brown, the Wine Red upside down, and the Ruby Red. The Wine Reds kind of look like ghosts of circle lenses next to the two other types.

FINAL VERDICT:
Design: 10/10 - The color is excellent, and the pattern is not freaky looking.
Enlargement: 7/10 - Noticeable but not "I am an alien" huge.
Comfort: 7/10 - They are kind of thick, actually.
TOTAL: 8/10 - Whenever I wear them I will play "How long until someone notices I have red eyes" :D

Thank you kiwiberry1's collection for the lenses!

"Crushed Amethyst" Smoky Look Tutorial

After a looooong string of circle lens reviews, I finally sat down and did a makeup tutorial! :D

Here is a very purple look using my new(-ish) 88 Metal Mania palette from Coastal Scents. I think most of the shades in this palette is more shimmery than metallic, but they are all highly pigmented and fun to play with.

Here are the colored products I used for this look:
- Coastal Scents 88 Color Metal Mania palette
- Coastal Scents 28 Color Neutral palette
- Coastal Scents 88 Color Matte Eyeshadow palette
- MAC Shape and Sculpt palette in "Accentuate/Sculpt"
- MAC lipstick in "Purple Rite"
- Revlon lipstick in "Va Va Violet"

And here are the false lashes I used from Adelle:

Here is a step-by-step breakdown:

1. After prepping the eyelid with a eyeshadow base, apply a dark plum eyeshadow (#1 in the palette photo) on your lid up to your crease.

2. Apply the plum eyeshadow to the outer half of your lower lashline.

3. Add a shimmery plum color (#2) to the outer half of your lid above the crease, up to your browbone.

4. To the middle of your lid add a shimmery violet color (#3), blending into the plum a bit.

5. Apply a shimmery lavender color (#4) to the inner third of the eyelid.

6. Highlight the inner half of your lower lashline and inner corners of your eyes with a silver eyeshadow (#5).

7. Line your upper lashline, as well as your upper and lower waterline, with a soft black eyeliner pencil.

8. Apply one coat of mascara to your curled lashes, and add false lashes.

Here is the finished look for the eyes. I am wearing Geo X-CK105 circle lenses by the way:

I applied a fuchsia eyeshadow (#B) along my cheekbones as blush, highlighted the top of my cheekbones (#H) and shaded under them as well (#S). I applied "Purple Rites" to the outer edge of my lips and "Va Va Violet" to the middle to get a gradient.

I decided to leave my brows alone for a softer look. I think if I do my usual brows I would look kind of evil :p

Purple is my favorite color, and I hope you like this look as much as I do. :)
