Video Tutorial - Metallic Monochrome Makeup (Inspired by Ulzzangs and Chinese Net Idols)

Here is my latest makeup tutorial, inspired by Ulzzangs and Chinese net idols. Ulzzangs (Korean for "best face") are good-looking guys and girls who posts their photos online and gain fame and fans; sometimes they go on to become real celebrities and star in advertisements! Chinese net idols are similar, and they are frequent features of Taiwanese TV shows too. The girls in these two groups are known for their flawless yet soft makeup, which are frequently imitated.

This makeup tutorial is INSPIRED by these two groups of beauties. I do not claim that I am (or will ever be) an Ulzzang or net idol, but I love their makeup and how it can change a relatively plain girl into a stunner. Hope you like it!

Here are some closeups of the eyes. I am wearing Pop. C Dark Blue circle lens.

Circle Lens Review - Japan Big Eye Barbie Pop. C Dark Blue

Hi everyone, long time no post! I was real busy and out of town for the past two weekends, so I couldn't write anything. Anyway, here is my review for Japan Big Eye Barbie/Pop. C Dark Blue circle lenses, sponsored by D'Beauty Shop.

When I look at my inventory, I am kind of surprised that I don't have many blue lenses even though they are one of the more "natural" eye colors besides brown and grey. I have one pair of Neo Cosmos Glamor Blue, which are a lighter blue, so I decided to try out a pair of dark blue lenses.

D'Beauty Shop has a very well-designed website where you can look for lenses by brand or by color. They also have a short blurb for each of the lenses, which I quite enjoy reading. It gives a very personal feel to the seller IMO. :)

When I got my package, it came in a bubble-wrap-padded envelope, and contained the following:

- The lens bottles wrapped in bubble wrap
- Lens case
- Contact lens info sheet (by Geo)
- A flyer telling you to read the enclosed info sheet
- A pair of collagen eye masks
- A business card

The info sheet was a very nice touch, and I am curious about the eye masks since I have never used them before.

Here are the bottles that the lenses came in:

The diameter for the lenses are 15.8mm (flat measurements I think), so they are pretty big.

The lenses are very densely pigmented and the blue is a very rich, true blue both in the case and on my eyes. I think they almost look a bit electric in certain lighting, which is awesome. One small nitpick is how abrupt the pixels stop at the middle around the pupil; in dark light situations I can see a blue halo around my vision, but it is not as bad as the Dolly Eye Browns.

The dark color and thick black outer ring gives these lenses excellent enlargement and definition without looking too alien. Here are some comparison pics with my real eye with no lens:

As I said before, I don't have any other true blue lenses, so here I am comparing the Pop. C Dark Blues with my Glamor Blues:

The dark outer ring and intense color of the Pop. C Dark are a bit similar to the Dreamy.i lenses, so I decided to pop in one of my Dreamy.i Green for some pics. They seem to go together pretty well. (I am totally Delerium/Yuna! XD)

Here are all the lenses that I wore in this review. The top lens in the middle is the Pop. C Dark Blue turned upside down, and the bottom is the same lens right way up.

FINAL VERDICT:
Design: 8/10 - Looove the color, but I can see them being a bit too dark for some people
Enlargement: 9/10 - These are enlarging without making me look like an alien.
Comfort: 7/10 - When I first wore these, they feel thick and slightly annoying, but after a while they are fine.
TOTAL: 8/10 - These lenses will make your eyes pop without being freaky, and the flash of blue in the middle is very pretty.

Once again, thank you D'Beauty Shop for sponsoring these lenses!
